The Skin We Wear Gala

On 2 May 2025, The Skin We Wear fundraiser gala brought One Farrer Hotel to life with love, laughter, and the extraordinary power of community.

It was a night to remember — a heartfelt celebration of our Rare Skin members and their families, whose courage and strength inspired everyone present.

One of the evening’s most moving moments came as our Rare Skin patient members stood together as a choir, singing with joy and resilience. Colene’s powerful speech reminded us of the purpose that unites us, while the live auction buzzed with generosity from donors who gave with open hearts.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of Ms Jane Ittogi, whose warmth and grace added to the night’s spirit. From the first welcome to the final farewell, the evening overflowed with connection, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Together, we created a space where stories were honoured, emotions were shared and where we celebrated the beauty of every skin and the strength behind every story.

Seeing our members and their families rise in love and courage — and a room full of supporters standing beside them — reminded us of the transformative power of compassion and solidarity.

It sent a powerful message: You are not alone. We see you. We stand with you.
