The 1st Regional Rare Skin PSG Summit 2025, organised by the Asian Society of Pardiatric Dermatology (ASPD) in collaboration with the Rare Skin Conditions Society (RSCS) Singapore, marked an important milestone for the rare skin community in Southeast Asia.
Held on 16 August 2025 in Singapore, the inaugural summit brought together leaders an members of patient support groups, healthcare professionals, and individuals living with rare skin conditions from across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
The event served as a valuable platform to exchange best practices, strengthen regional partnerships, and explore collaborative strategies to improve patient support and care. Participants shared their experiences, challenges, and community initiatives — highlighting the importance of working together to build a more connected and empowered regional network.
This first summit represents not just a meeting, but the beginning of a collective effort toward enhancing awareness, advocacy, and clinical collaboration for rare skin conditions across Southeast Asia. We look forward to seeing these conversations grow into lasting partnerships that bring tangible benefits to patients and their families.
